Visiting Mountaindale Sun Resort

A Welcoming Naturist Community

Visiting Mountaindale Sun Resort in Oregon’s Coast Range offers a unique opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy nature in a welcoming clothing-optional environment.

Mountaindale Sun Resort welcomes members and guests of all ages, backgrounds, body types, and life experiences. Our year-round forest retreat features scenic hiking trails, a heated pool and spa, disc golf, pickleball, RV and tent camping, and a friendly, respectful community atmosphere.

Social nudity has a way of leveling the playing field. Without clothing as a status marker, people tend to relax, connect more easily, and simply be themselves. For many visitors, that sense of ease comes as a pleasant surprise.

What First-Time Visitors Can Expect

It’s natural to imagine feeling self-conscious about being undressed around other people. Most first-time guests quickly discover that the discomfort they expected fades faster than anticipated—often replaced by a sense of comfort and freedom.

Many people are surprised by how much mental energy clothing takes up—until it’s no longer a concern. That’s when relaxation truly sets in.

Orientation Tours for First-Time Visitors

All first-time visitors receive a complimentary orientation tour upon arrival at the office. The tour is designed to help you feel comfortable, answer questions, and introduce you to the resort at your own pace.

Tours are available by appointment so our club host can be ready to welcome you.

These options blend in naturally. Regular street clothes are allowed, though they may feel a bit out of place on warm days. Most guests find they relax into what feels right for them.

Not Ready to Go Nude Yet?

That’s perfectly okay. Many guests choose to ease into the experience at their own pace, and there’s no expectation to do anything you’re not comfortable with. However, nudity is required in the pool, sauna, and hot tub.

Overnight Visits & Sponsorship

Many guests choose to stay overnight during their visit, bringing RVs, tents, or making other lodging arrangements. Overnight stays allow you to relax, explore the grounds, and fully enjoy the Mountaindale experience.

Overnight stays for non-members after their first visit may require sponsorship by an AANR member. Please contact the Club Host in advance for more information and to make any necessary arrangements.

Lawn Chairs (or blanket). Pool loungers are provided, but you may want your own chair for quieter lawn areas or busy summer weekends.

Food & Drink. You’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages. Charcoal grills are available, and meals are often available during club events.

What to Bring

A few simple items will help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Towels. Bring towels for swimming, sunning, and sitting. It’s customary to carry a towel with you around the resort.

Sunscreen. There are plenty of shady areas, but sunscreen is strongly recommended—especially for skin that doesn’t usually see much sun.

Footwear. Sandals or sneakers are ideal for exploring the grounds, pool areas, and hiking trails.

Food & Amenities

You’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages during your visit. Mountaindale also offers a few on-site conveniences to make your day more comfortable.

Guests often enjoy sharing meals, grilling together, or relaxing with a drink while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
